Fabio Sartorelli obtained a diploma in piano at the Milan Conservatory of Music where he also studied composition.
A pupil of Giovanni Acciai and Guido Salvetti he graduated summa cum laude in musicology. In his professional activity he has held lectures and conferences in Italy and abroad.
He has published numerous articles and essays in collaboration with well-known scholars such as Giorgio Pestelli. Since 1998 he has been the artistic director of the musical Season promoted by the Assessor ship of Culture of the city of Varese, which hosts important performers of international musical fame. He writes for the monthly magazine “Musica”.
From 1991 to 2006 he taught History of Music at the Music Institute «G. Puccini» of Gallarate and at the Dancing School of the Scala Theatre of Milan. He also teaches at the Accademia of the Scala Theatre of Milan.
He was invited to jointly direct the historical Società del Quartetto of Milan on the occasion of its 140th anniversary of activity.
He is lecturer of the Master in Management for Performance organized at the University of Bocconi in collaboration with the Scala Theatre of Milan.
From 2006 to 2007 he was a teacher of History of Music at the Bari Conservatory of Music, then teacher of the same subject at the Vicenza Conservatory of Music and from 2011 in Como, Conservatory of Music «G.Verdi».
